Description Finally! After a long, LONG wait, I've finally caught up on all my Model Challenges! This is part 1 of 2 of the model challenge catch up images; this one in particular contains only challenge designs for my FantasyChallenges Fire Elemental model, Cináed! (Pronunced KIN-ahj.) NOTE: While I did each round's designs in order, the actual models are not in order challenge-wise. From left to right:

Prompt 5: The theme for this round was different forms of water, and Cin (pronounced Kin) received this image: img00.deviantart.net/211f/i/20… Since steam is such a wispy substance I initially planned on her wearing a wispy, whimsical dress, but I backtracked and decided instead to give her something more like a sleep outfit with some wispiness to it. I also decided to show her powers as more of a smoky-steam for this, as if she's just getting ready to use them to maybe heat up her morning coffee or something. I also had her standing in a bit of flowing water to show her feet steaming because... I dunno honestly, it just kinda looked cool??? Anyway, I like this prompt/round but it's not my favorite of the bunch; I like the smoke wisps best out of all the outfit's details.

Prompt 4: This round's theme was Medieval Dresses-always a favorite imho. (I like fancy medieval/renaissance/etc. dresses, so sue me.) I was given this dress for Cin: s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/7… I honestly didn't get too detailed on this one having already made two very detailed/somewhat-accurate Medieval dresses for challenges before; instead I went for a more half-accurate-half-inspired-by-the-original look, with a detailed bodice and the signature red folds in the skirt. Honestly the most notable thing about this outfit is that Cin doesn't have her signature red streaks in her hair; that would be because I headcanon this to be a dress she wore before her ascendance to Elemental-hood, back when she was still just a priestess to a Fire deity.

Prompt 3: This was the traditional Halloween round, with a twist: the Elementals were asked to make outfits inspired by their particular element's Benders from Avatar: The Last Airbender. We were specifically asked NOT to base our outfits off of a single character. Cin of course received the Fire Benders: static2.hypable.com/wp-content… I went into Google to search for other Fire Bender outfits on this one, and eventually noticed several key things about Fire Bender/Fire Kingdom outfits as a whole: 1. There aren't a lot of smooth edges/curves; everything is pointed and sharp. 2. Fire Benders/Fire Kingdom residents wear a lot of layers (regular residents less so but they're still present), presumably maybe to avoid being burned by their own fire. 3. Typical outfit colors include lots of reds and golds with some very dark reddish-browns and red-tinged black; basically there are nest to no cool colors in their attire. Using these typical traits as guides, I developed an outfit for Cin to wear that looks like it could have come right out of A:TLA. I gave her a reddish-brown bodysuit and layered a red tunic with pointed hems over the top, trimmed everything in gold and gave her poofed sleeves to complete the look. For her hair I struggled a bit, debating between a top knot or a high pony tail (two signature hairstyles throughout A:TLA but especially in the Fire Kingdom) and having trouble figuring out what to do with the front of her hair. Eventually I went with a high ponytail and made her red streaks into braids. Over all I think this is my favorite outfit of the bunch, especially with the pointed tunic hems.

Prompt 2: This round was all about homes; for Cin's home I received this image of a fireplace: superiorclay.com/wp-content/up… I decided to draw vague inspiration from the fireplace and gave Cin a warm winter outfit in the fireplace's colors. This would be something she might wear while traveling to other Fire Deity temples, and wouldn't look out of place if she wore it in front of a fireplace.

Prompt 1: This round was all about making realistic creatures/hybrids (this being a Mythical/Fantasy Creatures challenge over all). For the Elementals, though, we received special rules: our Elementals were not supposed to be shown just USING their element, but actually BECOMING their element. We were each given pictures of inspirations to that, and this one was mine: t.wallpaperweb.org/wallpaper/m… I honestly didn't even look at my image cause I already had an idea in mind for what I wanted to do. For this round I kept Cin's outfit simple, just a black dress with a red one-shoulder strap detail. For her Elemental parts I made her hair partially fire, made flames going up her left arm, and put flames coming out from under her feet. I also made her eyes a solid, glowing red. Maybe at some point when I have the time I'll make her in her Flame On! Full Elemental form (body entirely encased in fire, hair completely made of fire, etc), but for right now we have this partial hybrid form.

Prompt 6: This is the final outfit of the pack, and you might notice that this outfit is in stark contrast from the others. Why is that? Because for this round's theme, Wings, SOMEONE ( Daughterofthehunt10 ) decided to be FUNNY and gave me baked chicken wings: assets.epicurious.com/photos/5… Now, I can deal with having food as a prompt (in fact another challenge based an entire round around the theme of food), but there are SOME things that simply aren't suitable to be made into an outfit (unless you're Lady Gaga), and chicken wings are one of them. -.- So, instead I made Cin into a Modern!AU waitress outfit complete with an apron, and put the chicken wings on a plate in her left hand. I also gave her a disgruntled expression because reasons. Hey, it was just required that the wings be part of the outfit; it wasn't specified on HOW they were incorporated.

woooaaah a lot of flames and red O,O this is awesome! ^.^

5) Very creative how you made the actual water, and how her foot is steaming like that. Very interesting visualization. And i think it's awesome how you made the outfit into her pjs. Very clever idea ^.^

4) aww, she looks so upset in this T.T *hugs her* but wow, her dress is so pretty O,O This was one of my favorite dresses, and you really did a great job with it. The skirt and the top look amazing.

3) oh awesome! The element one looks amazing! It seriously looks like something that came out of the show. *applaud* very cool! (i'm getting exhausted just thinking aobut how much drag and drop you must put in just that one costume alone O,O )

Edit:  (accedently hit send

2) awww, her home outfit looks so cool ^.^ Very cozy, and perfect representation of the fireplace

1) Oh wow, her hair looks amazing!! How come i can't get flaming hair to look that good T.T *sniffles* point being, that looks super cool. And i love her arm and the bottom of her dress. And her eyes! O,O So creepy, but so cool at the same time O,O

6) *dives under a table* Sorry!
I didn't do the chicken wings to be funny T.T Okay. Think of it this way. There you are, searching up a whole bunch of different images of wings for hours, and every time you type something new in the search box, you see at least one picture of fried chicken. Plus. It made me crave chicken by then, and since the elementals have different images then the others....i figured it would be perfect for the fire elemental.
so in other words, i couldn't resist T.T

But about the outfit I honestly wasn't sure how you would do this. But you really blew my mind with this....Its better then waht i had in mind...(which may or may not have been to just put her in a brown dress and call it happy ) i really love this design. And how creative the idea was of making it a waitress outfit. Very nicely done, on all of these!

So much flames and read!
Thank you so much for all the compliments! Honestly the Fire Nation outfit didn't take quite as long as it could have (those red glowys are much easier to work with than, say, that one Ao Dai outfit I did for another designer challenge ), but yes, it probably took the most time out of all the outfits to make. (The second being the Medieval dress because of those red panels that, while a very nice addition to the dress as a whole, were NOT easy to make. It could have been worse though; I could have made the red match the rest of the dress and used the Anna draggies instead. *shudders* Ain't nobody got time for that though!) And don't worry, I'm not all that peeved at you for the chicken wings thing in all honesty. It was just a bit of a shock to see chicken wings among all of these other gorgeous wing designs. It was kinda fun though, making the waitress outfit; I don't often get a lot of chances to attempt a true modern-day outfit in the Snow Queen scene maker in the model challenges (unless it's some kind of costume or something, and even then it's just a luck of the draw whether I get a modern-day costume or another fantasy costume or something) and I enjoyed the change of pace in doing so. So actually I'm kind of grateful to you; I got the chance to think outside the box with this one and think creatively on what I was going to do for the prompt instead of working to recreate something.

All of these are AWESOME! I can't decide which is my favorite. I really like both the Avatar one (I'm a big fan of the show, and you did a GREAT job representing a Fire Nation outfit) and the Hybrid one (loving the flames and the overall effect!) And  honestly... I'm totally impressed with how you handled the Chicken Wings. *LOL* It was a very creative approach and honestly, it really fits with the prompt. And no, I don't think she was overly amused by the joke either, but you both have handled it well.

I really love the outfit you made for the Wings round. I was so curious how you were going to do that one!
Plus I love her Elemental form.
