Description EDIT 3.02.08:// [ FAQ ]
Q: Where do you buy paper star strips?

A: You can for sure buy paper strips at any Korean stationery store. You can probably even buy online? If you really can't find them, however, you can make your own; 15 x 1 cm paper strips.

Q: Help! I'm stuck! I don't get this?
A: Basically you're trying to use up the whole entire strip of paper until it runs out. What you're basically doing is this: take a flap, fold it over. Take the other flap, fold it over. Take the other flap, fold that... Tuck them under whenever you can as shown in step 4. Good luck!

OMG HUGE FILE D:

I sort of made a mistake by making this tutorial with those paper strips -.-;; I've always used 15 x 1 cm paper strips to make paper stars but these new ones are like... 19 x 1 cm D: If you use 15 x 1 cm paper strips, you do NOT need to cut! It should be perfect and you should be able to use it all :> I didn't know this but the new paper strips I've bought are strips used for both paper stars and paper hearts x_x;; oi.

Not the best tutorial out there...
probably one of the worst, rofl.

I never take requests--ever! But this is the one time I've fallen for it D: Ohnoes! Dx

GOOD LUCK!

Look forward to ANOTHER tutorial soon!! <3<3
For what? D: It's a secret! >:[

You make such cute tutorials n__n

I know how to make these, but this is a different way =0
Cool though
I will definitely have to try this way n_n

What people can also use if they can't find the paper strips in stores, get a paper shredder! Either use colorful paper, or color it yourself before shredding!
(I've worked in an office before, and whenever things slowed down and I got bored, that's what I would do )

This is so interesting... I love making paper stars. I do mine differently, I guess I'll try doing them this way By the way, have YOU made 1,000 paper stars yet?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-30 20:49:07 +0000 UTC]

3,300 total as of today ^^

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-30 21:46:02 +0000 UTC]

Really?? That's amazing!! I've only made 271 so far... Do you ever count your paper stars?? I was going to once, but it was just too hard since my paper stars are so smallllll... I guess it would be reallllllly hard to count 3,300 paper stars though.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-30 21:50:40 +0000 UTC]

Haha I have little glass jars that only hold 70 standard sized paper stars so I usually just fit in ten at a time and by the time it's filled, I know I have 70 :]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-30 21:54:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, for some reason my paper star strips are EXTREMELY skinny--less than 1 cm, but they're 15 cm long. That makes them really hard to work with since they're so tiny D: I messed up so many of them. But now I have different shaped glass jars to put them in... But since they're different shapes, I don't know how many are in each one!! So I just put tally marks on a piece of paper to keep track.

Wow... sudden revelation. How many of those glass jars do you HAVE??!! O_O

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-30 22:46:36 +0000 UTC]

Haha that's about standard size :3 There are smaller ones *-*;; I just finished about 300 0.5 cm by 9 cm stars ;-;'' those are such a PAIN ;o;!!

Aww lucky! >:3 I need to buy shaped glass jars ;-;'' I reeaallly want a heart one *-*;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-30 23:00:57 +0000 UTC]

Really?? I want to get bigger ones though My hands... whenever they shake or ANYTHING, they rip a paper star because the paper is too light/thinnnn!!! -cries- Mine are .7cmx15cm. If those are standard, I better make sure to by bigger ones next time!!! .5cmx9cm... Wow. I feel bad for your hands--they must hurt really badly.

Oh, my glass bottles all have corks I like cork bottles. They're nice. But I have a circular one, a flat-ish one, a long one, a triangular one, and a heart one... I really like the heart one--I put my pink/purple/white paper stars in it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-30 23:18:18 +0000 UTC]

Haha not really :3 The paper for the .5x9 cm ones are pretty thick so it doesn't rip easily xD;; But you can't pinch the corners by hand because they are so stiff ;-;'' I have to use a long-nose plier D;

I know! :3 I love little corked bottles *-*~~
There are glass bottles sold at a local stationery store here but they are so expensive OTL;;
A medium sized one (a little bigger than both my hands put together) is about 25 to 35 dollars ;=;'' *dies*

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-30 23:30:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, the paper strips for my stars is really, really thin so they rip quite easily O_O And even if the paper was thick... I don't think I have a long-nose plier or anything like it on hand. All those kind of things belong to my father, and I don't really want to venture in that (terrible and messed up) closet of his to get anything... o.O

Oh, really?? I get mine from my local art store Mine must be bad quality or something, because they're only 99 cents each O_O They're pretty small, though. But they can fit over 195 of my tiny paper stars
25-35$... Are they really nice?? If so, I'd like to buy one... But any more than one and my wallet might as well burn. -___-

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-31 00:41:03 +0000 UTC]

LoL the tools I use are my dad's D; I actually took it without asking :< (ohnoes x-x;; ) Yeah D: I guess all dads have a scary looking messy toolbox (or shed) somewhere someplace D;

Whow! No way! D: ;=;'' They don't necessarily have to be bad in quality because it's cheap in price xD; Gosh I wish I had a store like that around here :< (I can't even find a place where they separately sell corks x-x;; )

Yeah D: They're pretty nice :3 Really pretty too x-x;; (One's a shape of a short and wide wine glass ;-;'' so pretty) Seriously D: 25-35$ is pretty expensive...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-31 01:48:06 +0000 UTC]

Ahhh, bad! Bad! How could you take your father's tools w/o asking?? haha. Well, it's not like his TOOL closet--one side and the floor are both reserved for clothes, and the other side is reserved for... batteries, screwdrivers, and whatever twisted things he decides to put there O_O

Well, my glass bottles aren't the nicest things in the world -__- Well, they're not BAD I guess, but I'd rather buy $5-$10 bottles that have better quality. I tried looking for them online, but I just can't find them!! Plus, shopping online can get... weird. D:

Hmm... I wish I could go to that store someday and buy one of them... Then I could put some special paper stars in it. I really like those kinds of pretty, expensive things

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to ImmortalWish [2008-03-31 01:51:36 +0000 UTC]

I'm sorry I'm sorry! ;o; *goes to confession* x.x;;~

Haha I know what you mean :] there's some at etsy.com but they're not ones I'm looking for D: They do have a lot of nice random stuff tho xD;;

Everything pretty in the world is expensive x.x;;

...most of the time anyways

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImmortalWish In reply to RainCookie [2008-03-31 02:05:38 +0000 UTC]

You shall not be forgiven!! Stealing your father's tools is the ultimate sin!!!

Yeah. Etsy.com has some good stuff, but one of my results for 'cork bottle' was this: [link] And I got kind of creeped out. I mean, it's cool and all, but just maybe a bit... creepy? -___-

And yes, pretty things are costly... TT-TT $17.50 for something so small... [link]
