Well thanks,but the readers better know that this is not a very simple tutorial!,because this is as you said differently,the key to success!...this can be applied to large 3d creatures!,like imagine a dragon with an elephants head!!! ...so i think this is a small big tutorial!
...thanks for sharing this

This helps a lot.. I've got down what my character should look like, it's just my attempts at drawing her are fails! Wait.. can you draw her? Like could it be free? I could send you a message describing her.

This is brilliant c:
It's really helped me to consider things differently in my design ideas, although it makes me feel a bit foolish to admit it, as it seems like such an obvious concept >.<;;;

or another reason people don't want to think out of the box is because they're afraid people wont recognize what they're drawing as what they meant it to be. But I definitely agree with you when you say you have to think out of the bow to be unique. I mean I rather to have an irregular but super unique turtle than one boring semi circle one thats been done 1000s of times before. And I loved the prancing lion by the way.

I had many ideas when I was a kid. My first one I still keep is a spherical alien penguin armed with a fish. As well as my mascot. Don King. He's a bird whose design just screams Rayman. Mario may have inspired you. But I think Kirby might have inpired my take of design of simplistic beings. In fact a personality switch of mine was with Lester. A zombie bird who only drinks polygranates from juice. He's gentle as a kitten. Along with other zombies in my take.... And they cry and flee if attacked. And said Lester was inspired by the Feeyos from the minigame in Thrillville. Sparkle Islands.
I hope this puts me back in the swing of things....

I believe mastering this is the forth step in becoming a popular artist as explained in Scott McClouds book 'Understanding Comics'. Very informative by the way.
