Description
My entry for the Radical Racer contest! Essentially what happens when you combine a tank with a motorbike and the fuselage of an attack helicopter. xDThis is the finalized version for the contest! What you saw previously was a shoddy attempt to rush a deadline without knowing timezones exist. lol
Do download/expand it for a full view!

Radical Racer: Winfred Ginghams
Former Mercuron pilot for the United Nations Peacekeeping Force, Winfred saw the Mercuron Accel project not only as a opportunity to travel the world, but also a chance for him to relive the glory days behind the wheel of a Mercuron. His keen senses has enabled him to handle the vehicle with absolute control and finesse, and use any terrain he is racing on to his advantage. His pilot suit is specially designed to be resistant to all types of hazardous environments and is able to sustain its wearer with necessary life support. From irradiated deserts, to toxic swamps, there is no biome this racer won't go!
Lucky Charm: Punctured Bullet
A deformed rifle bullet which Winfred smuggled out of a live firing range. Having survived numerous battlefields with it, he considers this bullet lucky and never races without having it on hand.
Transportation: M-317A Mercuron Accel
Developed by Guilford Terminal Technologies (GTT), the Mercuron Accel is a high speed race tank based off the M-317 Mercuron light tank. Once upon a time, the Mercuron was used by various militaries across world. However the invention of hover tech eventually rendered many tracked scout vehicles like it obsolete.
Rather then mothball their existing stock, GTT saw a lucrative market in the form of Hazardous Wasteland Racing and modified their vehicles for civilian used. The Mercurons were stripped off any armor and all of their advanced sensor and radar equipment, and weaponry. A more power VN-1487K turbo engine was installed as well as various tweaks to its overall chassis to improve its aerodynamic. The Mercuron Accel is more than capable of handling the harshest
of radioactive wastelands of the 22nd century.
The new machine was given the new designation of M-317A and was dubbed as the Mercuron Accel. While initially met with lukewarm response, the vehicle has started to garner a small fanbase thanks to its high speed, reliability, and durability. In an effort to promote the vehicle, GTT has started to take part in many Hazardous Wasteland Races and even employed their own top racer, Winfred Ginghams, as poster boy for the Mercuron Accel.
Special Trick: N-47 Rocket Anchors
The Mercuron Accel sports two turreted rocket anchors mounted on the both sidesΒ of the vehicles frontal chassis. these turrets are capable of aiming at almost any direction and can fire a clawed rocket anchor. Initially designed to pull the Mercuron out of difficult terrain, clever pilots have discovered that it can also be used to latch onto rival vehicles to slow them down, or onto solid objects to turn tight corners.
