Description
Part 2 of 3 with , featuring the Others, which are genetically engineered Friends ([link] ) with the ability to live on land. Like their "ancestors", they are sexually monomorphic.1 is the Other version of 1. The front tentacles changed into legs while the hind tentacles function like hands. They retained their electroreceptors and electrical organs and can use them for communication among each other and, with the right equipment, with other species as well.
2 is the Other version of 2/3, which uses its hind body to stand on but walks using it's hind body and side tentacles. It's lungs are derived from parts of the hydraulic system used to move their podites.
3 is a different version of 2/3, which uses its derived swimming lobes as legs to keep the side tentacles free while walking. In this version the gill pockets changed into lungs.
4 is the Other version of 5. They differentiated their limbs into four walking legs and two arms. They still use a combination of fingers and eye tentacles for manipulation. A part of their crop differentiated into lungs.
5 is the Other version of 4, keeping the tetralateral symmetry. All tentacles were changed into walking legs and the tail tip split up as a new manipulative organ. Because it is hard to use only one "hand", multiple individuals synchronize their behavior to cooperate when using it.
5 is an alternative version of 4, where the tetralateral symmetry was changed into a secondary bilateral symmetry. The head portion of the body was stretched out and forms large parts of the "body", while the "tail" is the majority of the body portion. All four tentacles possess finger-like extensions to aid in manipulation on the hands anf stabilize the feet. Like 5, both versions use a row of spiracles for respiration.

Dude, this is awesome, the humanoid bend to them is really fun
to see. It may be a while before I figure out what sort of design I want to go with, but they have a sort of strangeness I hadn't really thought about before. Really nice combination of anthropromorphic and invertebrate design. I applaud your ability.
I have yet to decide which ones I like more, honestly, since they are all really fascinating.
I am working on my earlier trade after my neuro exam on monday, and then I will get started on this one. XD.

Good you liked the humanoid touch, I wasn't really sure about them. They look rather comically, which could be both an advantage and disadvantage.
It's okay, take the time you need. Developing the third sheet will probably take a bit longer than the other two, too.

The humanoid touch was kind of what I was going for in their earlier designs, though the Friends have their own beauty asthetics they adhere to when creating their...creations. They do look a little comical, but also the slightest big creepy. Thankfully the horror factor seldom comes from them themselves, but what they do.
I just wanted to let you know I didn't forget, the other person asked me for something really complicated as her trade XD.
I found it really difficult to make something shark-like that wasn't a shark, that was also a "humanoid", that could move at ALL on land. I can understand it would be difficult to try to think of an original take on the idea. XD. Their original design was something like a gulper eel, but it looked too fragile to be practical, and I often see shark-like creatures being cast as villains, so I wanted to use them for a slightly more sympathetic approach.

In this case the comical look combined with horrific actions wouls make them probably more creepy than they would be with a scary design.
Let's see. I have a few rough ideas, most of them involve different ways of locomotion.
