Description Full View for tutorial

Basically I decided to make a tutorial for who got me photoshop CS2! Thank you SO MUCH. But you don't need that program to use this tutorial. Really, it can be used in any program from photoshop 5-CS2. You can easily adapt it to other programs too if you need it. Anyway, I hope you find this useful. I didn't want to give away the final picture completely, which will be posted soon

Enjoy

EDIT: I forgot to give it to you If you want to use my original sketch, [link] here it is for you

i just want to thank you for posting this. this tutorial, coupled with help ive been receiving from my friend, have been the two most important resources so far in helping me learn to paint digitally. The best part was to actually find a good tutorial from a person as clearly skilled as you are. Thanks a ton, this thing helped me BIG TIME

This was a really helpful tutorial! I've always had problems with shading the skin, mainly when it comes to choosing colours, and how to make them blend nicer, but this helped. Every step is here, and in detail, and it's easy to understand~

Awesome picture really.
err, dont call me newbie now but... I want to learn about making art like this.

First of all:
How to do the "sketch" , what pen to use? is it brush-tool? and what size etc? and how to get it that smooth, cant make it.. or your using "pen-tool" or "pencil tool" ?
Any tips for a newbie like me?

and second! You have msn so that I can ask you some more questions?

Best wishes

Lumik

Very awesome tutorial, has definitely helped me understand how you digital painters do it. I'll have to try it now.
Just one question, on the last step, by 'duplicate the entire image', you mean to have two layers on top each other, the same whole picture?
Thanks much.

otherwise, it's good! I'm going to go and try it out.
