Description
Well, there hasn't been a tutorial on how to import, and since I'm currently hosting a contest that relies a lot on customs, I have to do something. While my PC is Portuguese, there's a saying in my country: "for a good understander, half of a word is enough." It's a rather minimalistic tutorial, any doubt just tell me.Bison hat by StrawberryHoboCake

I know this post is old, but I just figured out how to import props into walfas on my computer, so I figured this could help people with similar setups.
So for me, you have to take the image out of whatever folder it's in, but don't open it! Then, click on properties like it shows in the comic, but take the TITLE, and copy-paste it into the insert images on walfas. Finally, put '.png' at the end of the title.
And that's what worked for me! Hope it can help someone.

Hey, do you know what the issue could be if the images turn up invisible?
Like, I'm in the middle of making the OP for my video series and before I imported custom props just fine using both strategies.
But then I took a break from Walfas due to pressing schoolwork, and now when I return to finish my OP I try the same tactics and the images do load, but they can't be seen! Like, they're clickable and rotatable and everything but they're invisible.
I've tried deleting and redownloading create.swf, restarting my computer, using rsgmaker's createX.swf, reinstalling Adobe Flash, all that stuff, but nothing's made a difference!
All my images are .png, and like I said before it did work normally, this is an issue that's just come up all of a sudden.
If you have any idea what the issue could be any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks and have a nice day!

I think it's a bug in the program, try to download rsgmaker's custom walfas program.

Already tried, didn't work ;_;
I always use rsgmaker's version anyway.
I've also tried placing multiple copies of create.swf in the several folders, didn't make a difference either.
I've also tried opening create.swf on different internet browsers, didn't work either.
Any other possible ideas? Could it be something to do with my Antivirus or is the newest version of Adobe Flash just being an ass?
Has anyone else had this issue before?

I'm a little late but, its the size of the prop
I find that anything under 1100 Pixels works
and disabling anti-aliasing makes props look like a flash game on the "low" setting
So just resize it in photoshop or w/e,
(If a solution has already been found pls don't hurt me)

It's been happening to everybody lately, but so far nobody's isolated the cause of the problem.

If you use the online version it won't work. However, if you use createEX.swf, just uncheck "Anti-Alias and Cache Images" and it should work.

Click "Menu", "Insert" and "Image". Right click the sprite and copy the URL in the security tab, then paste it there and you'll have it.

Go to walfas.org, then right click on "create.swf" and click save target. Then, convert the file using SWF to EXE. You'll now have a downloaded version of Walfas.

Thanks for the reply, but I already managed to get it. ^-^
Even though I still have a question. Is there any way to prevent the imported images to disappear for a second whenever I skip between grames? If you know what I mean.Β

Hmmm, I've never really tried frames myself actually. I don't know how to, I've only made little comics with Walfas, and I have never used frames.

I can't do it no matter what I do. Downloaded it, didn't work. Typed .png, Didn't work. Cheating, Didn't work. Copy as path didn't work either. Hence why I'm pissed off.

Try to redo the steps, with the both ways to import. Also, try to check the title of the file, if you forget one dot, it doesn't work.

If you hold shift as you right-click an image, you can select "Copy as path" and skip panels 2-4.

I've tried, and no it doesn't. You'll have to export it to a PNG file with Inkscape or some other vector software.

question, when you copy the create.swf files on the local, and you do the same for the folders for specific props, separated from the others, will the quick import trick work the same way?

RandomNumbers5902672 In reply to TheAtlanticGundam [2014-07-01 03:47:09 +0000 UTC]
If you have a create.swf file in the same folder, it'll work. Lyhoko commented another way comments.deviantart.com/1/4644β¦

LyhokoLeaci [2014-06-30 15:39:32 +0000 UTC]
On another note relative links work as well: if you have your customs in a folder that is in the folder that walfas is in, you can import it as "folder name/image name", for example "customs/Lyhoko_head_100.png". "../image in the folder that also contains the folder that walfas is in" also works. That way there is no need to spam create.swf in a ton of different folders. Just keep your customs in neat subfolders.

TheAtlanticGundam In reply to LyhokoLeaci [2014-07-01 05:22:01 +0000 UTC]
I kinda didn't get the last part on the importing coordinates.
π: 0 β©: 1
LyhokoLeaci In reply to TheAtlanticGundam [2014-07-02 00:37:17 +0000 UTC]
First part:
The file is in a subfolder in the folder that create.swf is in:
Example:
File: ".../walfas/customs/Lyhoko_head_100.png"
Walfas: ".../walfas/create.swf"
To import the file, type in "customs/Lyhoko_head_100.png"
Second part:
create.swf is in a subfolder that the file is in (the reverse of the first case)
File: ".../random stuff/MD-90b.png"
Walfas: ".../random stuff/walfas/create.swf"
To import the file, type in "../MD-90b.png"
New part:
create.swf and the file are both in folders that are in the same folder
File: ".../random stuff/new avatars/Lyhoko-50.png"
Walfas: ".../random stuff/walfas/create.swf"
To import the file, type in "../new avatars/Lyhoko-50.png"
Basically, "../" means, "go up one folder."
