I decided to explore a second version of a Constitution-class refit, adding a few more elements from the Enterprise that we see in the movies. Mostly, I went with the new warp engine nacelles and the photon torpedo launcher that is located on the interconnecting dorsal. While it wasn't really my intention, I guess I sort of ended up making a ship that's very similar to the one that appears on the famous poster for Star Trek: Phase II. I'm OK with that. I like this combination of features from the TOS era, the movie era, and Pike's Strange New Worlds variant.

In case anyone is interested, here's all the details of what I did:

The saucer is reshaped to be pretty close to the Strange New Worlds variant. It's a little slimmer profile, and it has a little larger diameter than the saucer in the original series. Also, in TOS, the underside of the saucer had a sort of convex scooped out detail going all the way around. It was a very graceful feature, but it always seemed like it really limited the deck space in the saucer, so I changed it to essentially be flat across the bottom, to open up some interior space. I like the huge impulse engines on Pike's version of the ship, but I went a bit further and made them even larger/wider.

I pretty much kept the existing Engineering section/secondary hull from TOS. I like it the way that it is. I just added a few glowing details around the main navigational deflector dish.

I removed a few decks from the interconnecting dorsal to reduce the overall height of the ship. (Two decks, I think). This is just following the lead of the Strange New Worlds variant, but I think it really lowers the overall profile of the ship and makes it seem much more sleek and aggressive, at least IMHO.

I added the beautiful wings and new warp nacelles from the movie Enterprise, minus all the little panels.

I maintained the overall coloring from the TOS variant, as well as the old font for the NCC-1700. But I used the new font and layout for the "U.S.S. CONSTITUTION."

In addition to the "movie version" forward-mounted torpedo launcher, I also added the several new torpedo launchers to the saucer section. Two are aimed forward, two to port, and two to starboard, all located on the underside of the saucer. I kind of like to think that maybe this entire section of the underside of the saucer can actually rotate around 360 degrees. That would be cool! I also added a pair of aft torpedo launchers at the back of the saucer between the impulse engines.

I also added the "movie-style" phaser banks to the top and bottom of the saucer section, a new phaser back on the top/aft of the saucer, and a couple of phaser way at the back of the Engineering section.

I modified the graphics on the side of the Engineering section to include the Starfleet arrowhead, and left off any graphics on the warp nacelles.
