Description
While the New Republic E-wing Starfighter was first introduced (in books and comics) way back in 1992, it only recently made its first appearance in live-action, on the Ahsoka TV series. While it's appearance on the show was brief, it was exciting for many fans to finally see the this ship in action. Perhaps the most obvious difference between this ship and earlier (comic book) iterations of the E-wing is that the new live-action version does not seem to have a laser cannon mounted over cockpit. Billed as an "escort fighter," we still don't have a lot of detailed information about this iteration of the ship. One feature that particularly intrigues me about this new iteration of the E-Wing are the forward--facing "gattling guns" (or at least devices that look like gattling guns) mounted at the root of the wing on both sides. Hopefully detailed stats will be provided at some point.
