Description
The Quest Jet was the vehicle of the fictional Dr. Benton Quest, as he flew around the world pursuing scientific mysteries. On his globe-trotting adventures, the Doctor brought his assistant “Race” Bannon, his son Jonny Quest, Jonny’s best friend Hadji. and a cute little dog named Bandit. But the Doctor’s well-intentioned scientific pursuits generally ran into complications as he encountered a variety of evil adversaries, and thankfully that always led to heaps and heaps of exciting action and adventure.
This schematic highlights the rather unusual configuration of the Quest Jet, with its oversized tail fin, and it wings positioned way at the back of the fuselage, making the jet look more like a dart than a conventional jet aircraft. Ah, but that sleek futuristic look is what we loved about it.

Thanks so much! This was a fun project to work on. It's rewarding to take a vehicle which is usually depicted in an animated style and render it in a more photo-realistic way, so we can almost start to believe that it "really" exists. With a few textures and a little shading, we can start to see what this classic vehicle "really" looks like. It's fun to breath that kind of life into a favorite design. It makes you wonder what they might do with a big-budget live action Jonny Quest movie.
