Here is another classic design from Star Trek - The Original Series. How marvelous that the full-sized model has recently been restored to all of its original glory, . . . and then some. While the shuttlecraft seems like a "boxy" design, I was interested to discover that the front sloped surface, the leading edge of the nose, and large roof panel are actually all curved, while the side panels are subtly flared out at an angle (and curled over at the top edge.) The warp nacelles are similarly pointed together as if it were slightly "pigeon-toed." It all works together nicely in the final design, but I was surprised that someone went to all of the trouble to include these subtle design features, when most people probably assume that it was all just made out of flat slabs of material. Again, it is absolutely amazing how misleading much of the reference material is on this ship is. I could have made the Galileo I or II, but it's been done a zillion times, so I decided to make a different one.
