Description
I drew this quite a while ago.. Found it and realized I'd never put it up so.. here it is? I wanted to finish it, but just never found to time I guess. Every sticky note should have something on it...Maybe when things lighten up around here I'll color it and give it the attention it needs.. but for now.. here you go..
A touch melodramatic but its my sketchbook so there!

Very interesting picture. The details are exactly the kind of thing I like to see and what it represents just breaks my heart. This is the sort of thing that makes me want to watch EEnE.

Lots of characters, even in kids' shows, have darker pasts then a lot of people think. Of course, in kids' shows, they don't generally go into the sadder parts of someones past. But it's still interesting to see something like this.
This may be a bit of an exageration, but it's a lot better than when people downplay a character's suffering. To give an example, I'm a Phineas and Ferb fan, and it really pisses me off when people claim Dr. Doofenschmirtz's relationship as a child with his parents was "almost" abusive, when to me it seems clearly severly emotionally abusive.

The way I look at it is, hell, as the viewer we can really interpret things any way that we want. To me, with my eyes, with my ears, Edd has clearly been neglected.

Its said within the show that they practically never are. Says it in the series bible too, although one of the original guidelines also read that he's not allowed to touch anything--furniture, dishes, nothing. that of course, changed, considering he cleans and looks after everything...

It's that one he's reaching for that makes me want to cry for him. ;o; It's like a promise never kept or an impossible goal; Edd tries so hard fo his parents.
...although all the other notes are hysterical, lol.

ha ha, glad you like it. that's my favorite thing about EEnE.. its so damn funny, but there is a genuine sadness if you can sense where to look... I need to start watching it again. Its pretty much my favorite show ever, but I think working on it made me a bit hyper-analytical... like I wish I could reach into the tv and still fiddle about with parts I got to work on (at least in the newer ones). When I watch the old ones, its more like, "Man, I wish I were that funny". LoL

Aaawe, this made me sad for Edd. The notes are a nice mix of overly dominating unfounded morals and completely vanished family stability. The hypocrisy!!! D:
I always liked that there were no parents, cuz sometimes the show would turn into Lord of the Flies in an insane cartoony way.
