I drew this quite a while ago.. Found it and realized I'd never put it up so.. here it is? I wanted to finish it, but just never found to time I guess. Every sticky note should have something on it...Maybe when things lighten up around here I'll color it and give it the attention it needs.. but for now.. here you go..
A touch melodramatic but its my sketchbook so there!

Wow, this is incredible. I love the way you used the space in the picture. It just makes it even more dramatic. <3 Great emotion too.

Oh, good! I thought you deleted this one. This has got to be one of my favorites. The emotion and struggle behing this is very insperational. I've been meaning to share a comic with you that I've been developing that was inspired in part by this, but I'm afraid of bothering you. I'd hate to come off as some kind of stalker fanboy.

I'm still not happy with what my eene art looks like, it's a long ways away from where I want it to be. But you gotta start somewhere. This current comic is just practice, as I can't start on the comic I would really like to start on till I'm at the point I feel my style is more accurate.

I like that Double D seems to not be paying attention to all the ones that he CAN reach, like the "Don't associate with that 'Eddy' boy"--he only wants the one that he can't reach. This is so awesomely done and so deeeep. Veeeery nice job on this

in the episode eeny meeny miney ed where the eds are in double d's bathroom, you can see a sticky note that says "don't touch yourself" by the door. i'm dead serious! if you watch closely ed edd n eddy is a landmine of masturbation jokes. gotta love it. ...oh, and as usual it's a fargin awesome pic. kudos on the symbolism!

So sentimental and really deep for a cartoon. Somehow, it seems like the full effect of this: absent parents/isolation is best expressed through the comics medium. It allows for exaggeration while still making it believable...ah, but I'm rambling again. Great work my dear, i really and truly love this piece.

Thanks.. I agree.. Its sort of hard to get the depth of emotion you can in a still image across in an eleven-minute -comedy- short. Then again, I like to read into things a lot. Thanks though, I'm glad you like it.
As for your question, yeah.. I put my all into that one. Don't get me wrong, lots of people worked on that one and it couldn't have been done without any one of us.. But speaking personally, I was very.. particular and protective of certain things.. much to the annoyance of my colleagues I'm sure. In addition to fleshing out some of the story, I got to draw the final version of the breakdown sequence in the cafeteria and some of the stuff at the beginning of Edd holing himself up in the botanical room.. Which was more taxing than I'd ever really expected it to be.. For weeks I had to feel what I was drawing. And what I was drawing was very sad. I've actually experienced that before--having a dear friend basically tell me they didn't want to be friends anymore.. and I've endured the feeling of people not wanting to be around me for whatever reason. So for a kid who is so isolated already, and so seeking of love and affection--to suddenly cut him off from the few connections he has is cruel and had to be gut-wrenching.
