Scythe: So, how was it, fighting a reploid?
Raven: I'll tell you one thing- it hurts.
Scythe: Your fault for leaving yourself open... but you did good in giving him a proper greeting.
Raven: Heh. That bruise should teach him a lesson, at least.
Scythe: Just be careful: you never know when X will pull a surprise on you. Stay one step ahead- He may be a 1st-class hunter, but I doubt he's used to hand-to-hand combat. Take advantage of that and show him how it's done.
Raven: Right.

Zero: ...First round's over, and you already got a bruise...
X: ....Yeah.....
Zero: I have to admit- for a human, Raven's giving back as good as he takes. I never expected that.
X: Neither did I...
Zero: You feeling all right?
X: ??
Zero: About this whole thing?
X: ... I can't say I liked how the first round went... I did that taunt before I even knew I was doing it..
Zero: Just shrug it off, there's still three rounds left. Just do what you do best, X.
X: 'Do what I do best?' What do you mean?
Zero: *gives X a grin* You'll figure it out..

Fixing the mistakes from the lines draft did not take long, but I had to get used to the color schemes all over again. Other than that, this was a good means of getting back into the swing of things.

Indeed. It's nice to have a free hand, again. The only real catch would be to replenish my colors, but that can be easily done on an ad-hoc basis.
For a while, I had to wait until I could find time to draw Zero outside his usual armor. Once that was done, it made doing this part easier.

Well, that was some welcome you gave X with the bruise alright. Keeping the offense without giving an opening will probably be important too, since X may have little experience in hand-to-hand, but is very much battle tested over the years. Zero apparently has confidence in X's ability to adapt, so I've a feeling thins might get more interesting in the next round. Definitely an awesome match so far! Awesome as always!

More than that, I'm estatic that I passed my Senior Seminar class- if everything checks out, that bachelor's degree is as good as mine. 
I'll check into that on my next day off from work but for now, I'm happy I don't have to write weekly papers, anymore.

I think it will be, if not, I'll just need to remind the admissions dept. about what my advisor said. I'm sure things will work out.
