I filled in the blank spaces from the lines by mirroring the eyes. Coloring took a while since they tended to scan lightly.

Also, I said I would work up a story for this particular match, this is a work-in-progress, so I may make adjustments as needed: A quick word of warning, this is pretty text-heavy, on account of the setup for this match. Subsequent pics will be focused on the match, itself.

A few days earlier, a certain phone call had taken place...

Scythe: This is strange, what business would one like you have with me?

*a bit of unheard dialogue on the other end is heard.*

Scythe: *listening to the receiver, adding in replies as needed* Right...... Yes, I do know him..... What's that? ..... Are you sure about this?...... Hmm... I see.... I think we can do something about that.... Yes,I have someone in mind... If you make the proper arrangements, let's do it- Five days from now. *nods...* Okay, then. Keep me posted.

*end of phone call. The next morning it's business as usual at the gym. Scythe had just come out of the office, and as he thought, Raven was at work, pounding the heavy bag.

Scythe: Morning.

Raven: *takes a quick glance* Hey, Scythe. What's new?

Scythe: Quite a bit. How're you feeling?

Raven: *hits the bag a bit harder* Pretty good. Why do you ask?

Scythe: I just got a call, last night. You think you're up for a match?

Raven: It has been a while.... sounds good.

Scythe: *grins* Great...there is something I have to tell you, though...

*a bit of explanation later*

Raven: 5 days? That's a bit close.

Scythe: That's not the only thing. How'd you feel about fighting one of the maverick hunters?

*Raven is so surprised he forgot about the heavy bag swinging back.... which in turn collides with his head, sending him skidding to the ground a few feet*

Raven: *dazed for a bit, but shakes it off* Are you joking?

Scythe: Nope, and before you ask, I do know there are fundamental differences between humans and reploids- their skeletal structures are harder, so yeah- their fists could put a hurt on you- especially since those in the Maverick Hunters are used to fighting. Which is why I'm going to train you like a dog to help you get ready.

Raven: ... You still haven't told me who I'd be fighting..

Scythe: We'll worry about that later. Now, on your feet- *takes his shinai off the wall* we got work to do!

* 5 days of intense training later, Scythe and Raven head to the training center at the Hunter's HQ. In the locker rooms, they make final preparations..

Scythe: You nervous about this?

Raven: A little. *does a little shadowboxing* You still haven't told me who I'd be fighting, and why someone in the Hunters?

Scythe: Trust me on this- you'll understand soon enough. *looks at his watch* It's time.

*the two head over to the gymnasium, the seats were filled to capacity with MH personnel. Upon entering ringside, they are greeted by a reploid, dressed in a casual outfit of red and white.What really stood out was his blonde hair- wild on top, but worn in in a ponytail that hung just past his knees.

???: Took you guys long enough. Everyone's starting to get anxious.

Scythe:*grins slightly* We'll see about that in a bit. Let me introduce you *turns to Raven* Raven, this is Zero.

Raven: ... A pleasure. *offers left glove to shake*

Zero: *shakes Raven's glove* Likewise. I'm glad to see you accepted this match.

Raven: Well, I didn't think I'd end up fighting a reploid, but I'll give it a shot.

Zero: That's good, 'cause your opponent's ready.

*As Zero steps aside, Raven takes a look at the opposite corner. There, he saw his opponent taking calming breaths. He was dressed in blue- from his shoes and trunks, with bits of black trim and white. But what really had him take a double take was the helmet, blue, with a red gem set above the brow, under which, the reploid looked back with a pair of calm, green eyes.

Raven: *keeping his voice low* ..X! You're having me fight Mega Man X??

Scythe: Looks that way. Why not we say hi? * starts calling the latter over*

Raven: *thinking* Scythe, whatever reasons you had for this match, I hope you know what you're doing. Wait a minute- I'm the one who's fighting, here..-

X: -So you're the one they call Raven?

*Raven blinks out of his thoughts and sees X in front of him.

X: I heard a lot of things about you, but I wasn't sure if you'd accept this fight.

Raven: Well, this is the first time my opponent is a reploid. To tell you the truth, I am a little nervous about this...

X: *grins* So am I. In any case, let's make this a good fight.

Raven: Yeah. ...

*A few minutes later, introductions were made by Douglas, the Hunters' chief engineer. While the crowd of was getting excited, both fighters were trying to drown out the din and focus themselves for bout at hand. Double soon calls them to the center for last minute instructions*

Douglas: Okay, you two- I'm pretty sure you know the rules: I expect to see a good, clean fight- this will be a standard 4-round match. Make sure you protect yourselves at all times. Any questions?

Raven: *shakes head*

X: A quick word, then? *Douglas nods, and X turns to Raven* I'm not used to this kind of situation, but whatever happens, good luck to you.

Raven: *grins* Same to you.

*both fighters touch gloves then head back to their corners, waiting for the bell...

While I haven't figured out the details for the fight, I'm thinking 4 rounds would be appropriate, given the unusual nature of the match- a 'man vs sentient machine' situation could turn ugly if prolonged too long. Other than that, it took a while to get the setup for this match ready.

That aside, MMX and its characters belong to Capcom, Scythe Mana belongs to me, and I belong to myself.
