Hadn't drawn a Licker in a while. My favorite B.O.W. from the Resident Evil series.[Edit: Oh, pardon my mistake! Lickers are actually catagorized as V-ACTs, not B.O.W.s. A B.O.W. is a creature that does not undergo secondhand infection and transformation, but is deliberately infected with a mutagenic viral agent, like the T-Virus or G-Virus, for the expressed purpose of being turned into a biological weapon. In this stage, Lickers are actually Crimson Heads in advanced mutation. There's another stage before this form called Regis Lickers, which are still much more human in appearance, suspend themselves from ceilings by only their feet, and tend to use their long tongues to strangle their prey to death.]

Umbrella's greatest creation. It is so dangerous and effective that by Resident Evil 5 many organization have them as a sort of guard-dog/infantry weapon. I am glad that will be seeing these guys again in Operation Raccoon City in 2012!!!

Cool, and intimidating with it's muscles. They were much more intimidating in RE2 then in Umbrella chronicles where they were scrawny little things that looked like hairless monkeys.
The position of legs looks unnatural, in a good way.

Thank you very much! I remember spending quite a bit of time on this guy. I am still very happy with how it turned out. In fact, with how little I've been drawing as of late, I wonder if I could even still produce beasts of this quality. :S

they say that the regis licker was between crimson head.
but i might think that the Regis Licker is actually a female licker!
Reason 1: Lickers are very masculine in shape, and regis are feminin. we never actually see a female licker, nor a male regis
Reason 2: their unlike looks, yet similar abilities (wall climbing, long tongues) might be caused by the t virus having different effects on different genders
but hey, this is just a theory of mine

Hm...I'm not quite sure actually; s'been a while since I drew this. I'm willing to say that it probably took me about 4-5 hours total. I'm typically a pretty slow drawer; even if I really get into something. : )

I could never stand going down the halls after that first one showed up in the cinematic because they hang out on the ceiling where you couldn't see them.

o.o oh ya, detailing this sucker took a handfull a' hours, thass for sure, but I'm happy with the end result. : D I hadn't drawn a licker in a long time. So being that Lickers are my favorite RE monsters, I felt like I owed it to em' to give it another shot. X D
Next time I do any RE fanart, I wanna try my hand at a Regis Licker; supposedly, there's this in-between stage for lickers while they're mutating, and it's more human looking than this typical stage here. From what I read about em', only one has ever been sighted before and it was a "female". They sound fairly disturbing looking. o.< [but I love 'disturbing', and I love monsters! X 3]

OK! THATS IS THE FUCKING BEST PICTURE OF A LICKER I HAVE EVER SEEN! THATS FUCKING AMAZING! I love Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 is by far my favorite, partly because of the licker. I can't even express how amazing this is!

This one took quite a while to draw, due to all the sinewy skin and muscle fibers, but it was truely a labor of love and I regret nothing. : D
