Damon:
Damon Pierce is a resident of North City - a large metropolitan city in the Northern-most part of the relatively small civilian moon of Dendratii in the Cenikah System. Apart from being a resident, Damon serves as a Detention Officer of the Dendratii Task Force's 'North City Police Department'.
For nearly eight years, Damon worked the streets as an Enforcement Officer, keeping the peace and patrolling the city alongside his long-time partner, Dominik [ravenshield.deviantart.com/#/d… . After receiving accolades in the line of duty, Damon and his partner were promoted to positions that took them off the streets and behind the locked gates and high walls of Mandrake Penitentiary. For the last two years Damon has served his city by keeping guard on some of the most dangerous criminals Dendratii has ever suffered as a heavily decorated officer of Mandrake Penitentiary's 'StoneGate' wing - an ultra-high security ward for criminals doomed to multiple life sentences without any chance of parole.
While some would hardly view this as a promotion, receiving the city's trust as a StoneGate officer comes with the utmost respect amongst the Department, a significant pay raise, and more reliable hours.
Unfortunately, the more stable working schedule was not to the expectations of Damon's fiancé, Laina, whom he soon after discovered had been unfaithful to him for more than a year's time; both before and after his accepted proposal for marriage. The disgraceful, and heartbreaking, end to this relationship was a difficult milestone to move beyond, but Damon has managed to put the pain behind him for the most part. Occasional nightmares and passing thoughts have left him at ill-ease to pursue another lover.

Damon grew up in a poverty stricken project of North City. An only child, raised by a single mother, Damon was quickly on track to a forcibly humble life; the temptations brought forth by street gangs, however, would dash that civility. By 14 he was constantly in and out of trouble with the law - committing petty thefts to scrape together quick money. At 15, Damon received the tattoos on his arms that would later be his most defining features - The Tellentha is a religious symbol of an historic Dendratii people that was once worn only by warriors who've returned from battle. In modern times, the Tellentha's more noble roots have given way to a widely known association with members of street gangs - specifically, the ink is awarded to those who have taken a bullet for another member.

Seeing the emotional torment that his involvement with the North City's underbelly was imparting on his Mother, Damon swore to reject his malfeasance, and promised to regain control over his life. This meant a hard several years re-integrating himself into the folds of typical society; primarily, finding the self-control to maintain his composure at the glaring eyes of a judgmental society that was hard-pressed to see beyond his previous errors. Through the emotional struggle, he learned to temper his mind and shut out the howling ghosts of his past. By 22, he had managed to save a decent amount of money working two jobs, and graduated North City University with a focus in Criminal Justice. Months, and many intense background investigations later, Damon would secure a position as a Patrol Officer for the NCPD, alongside his partner, Dominik Dumont; he would carry this position for the next eight years.

Throughout his partnership with Off. Dominik Dumont, the two would become inseparably close friends; Dominik's parents often endearingly referring to Damon as their lost son. It would be through Dominik's wife, Kayleah, that Damon would eventually meet Lloni Vaughn [ravenshield.deviantart.com/gal… .

*R260 D-Glock: Future incarnation of the hominid invented handgun, known as the Glock22. Glock22's were one of the most popular choices for law enforcement sidearms. The R260 has a 15 round magazine, fires .40 caliber ammunition, double-action trigger, standard trigger pull of 5.5 lbs., trigger pull length of 0.5 in., and a final weight [including full magazine] of 33.38 oz. As an echo to it's predecessor, the R260 is a extremely well handling firearm; very muzzle heavy, the R260 points instinctively and targets very quickly. Target re-acquisition times between shots are very minimized, as the front site barely leaves the point of aim. With such a high level of accuracy, it makes it very simple for a well trained operator to administer clean, non-lethal, shots; or very precise lethal shots, often minimizing number of rounds fired. The R260 is not only the first choice of sidearm for the Dendratii Task Force, but also simply the off-hand favorite of many officers.

Damon is equipped with an inner-ear translation bit - standard practice implores that these microscopic chips are implanted into the primary auditory organs of all newborn individuals, of every society, within the breadth of Federation Space. These bits allows it's user to freely communicate with all speakers from multitudes of species, even those not presently within the Federation, such as Zebesians. Zebesians' natural capacity for learning has rendered them adeptly capable of learning and understanding myriad other languages, but are physically incapable of speaking more than largely half of them. With his Zebesian compatriots able to clearly understand his Dendriate tongue, the bit will automatically filter and properly syntax the Zebesian language back to him without an alteration of tone; allowing the speaker to retain their individual voices and personalities.
