Description
I have had a few questions from non-CG people as to how I set up my shots and make my images. So here is my general process. (Though usually I have a rough sketch already worked out before i begin)Related content

Wow ok! DAZ really help for this nice camera shot, Never ahd the chance to use DAZ. I don'T do a lot of ''Scene'' more a creature/sci-fi character. I think I will give a try to DAZ. Looks like poses and basemesh are included or you made them ?

The base mesh comes with the program. I think there are some poses that come with it as well, I dont remember, but I usually make my own.
You should play, it is alot of fun...and very addictive.

I'll do my research about it! I suppose it is not free?

Thanks for the tutorial. Do you use IDL for your renders?

"IDL"? (I am not tech savvy with all the acronyms out there)
I render my shots in DAZ Studio with the 3delight renderer

IDL is Indirect Lighting, a feature available since Poser 8. I guess DAZ Studio may have it too. In the end, you answered my question indirectly: that most of the effect has been achieved in postwork.

You make it sound so easy!
Great peak behind the scenes at what is done.

hah...yeah, this is the simplified version.
With each step there is alot of thought and trial and error....and many things get changed along the way.

cool!
very well done.
I am surpriced about 2 things:
a) your gen2female is blank. My blank-version has a skin.
b) your athmospheric cameras work. Since DAZ 4.7 some of mine don't work any more

That's my workflow but I never know what I'm going to make when I open Daz, also I don't always Photoshop until days or months later. Thanks for sharing

yeah...alot of things tend to change as the project progresses. Thats why my sketches beforehand are usually just for general ideas and layout.

Thanx...I was asked by a couple people outside the CG world how it is all done.
