Description
I don't draw male figures that often because girls are simply more fun, but I'm trying to learn as there are quite a few male angels and demons I'm going to need to draw in the future. This guy's an alp; a German race of spirit often confused with vampires or incubi, but while having some similarities, aren't exactly the same as either. While they do drink blood, they prefer mothers' milk, and while they do cause dreams, they aren't generally sexual with their victims.

Alps like to sit on people in their sleep and give them nightmares, sometimes using their long snakelike tongues to feed on their victim's dreams. They also all wear these magic hats called tarnkappes that give them their powers. Alps are adept shapeshifters, however comically, no matter what form they take they will always be wearing the tarnkappe. I was tempted to draw a female, but they're less well known than the males and are even called by a very different name: mara.

One known Alp repellant is lemon. Evidently they hate the hell out of lemons, which if forced upon them can actually leave them immobile for awhile.
