Surely there is SOMETHING I'm working on that's worth putting up? Something?This sketch isn't bad. It refuses to tell me what it wants. I pick it up and put it down.

Indeed he is! Approximately, he's a character from a story.. I say approximately because I'm not sure if he's going to end up that way (I am ridiculously picky about drawing characters. I don't think this looks like who it's supposed to be.) I definitely don't feel like changing his ears, so he'll stay an elf.

You may take it as a compliment! I just mean they look smooth, and like he doesn't do rough work... I guess I have a thing about hands and personalities?

He looks like he is waiting for something to fall from the sky -- rain, a waterfall...something to allay the heat, perhaps.

... rain.....!!! Is that what this needs - water?? (I left this comment here a bit longer because it was making me Thinky, and it needed to be.. well.. thought on!) I've added a strange little tree-like thing that's supporting his hair.. the lower bits of his hair already look like they're floating.. maybe what this needs is rain and a pool (two things I draw often, huh? Well, durnit, I like them!)

I am working on it, I am! Just slowly, because it's still being stubborn, about telling me what it wants. (Drawing, what do you want??) I added some branches for his hair.

It started out as Erestor, but it's not really suiting the (fanfic*) author's (or my) version of him... a little TOO feminine! (And I've 'roughened' his face up, like, twice.. 
*Unpublished story, alas. This was started as a 100% shameless bribe to get her to put the story out there, somewhere.

I love Erestor. If you should know-i love Glorfindel, Beleg, Erestor and Ecthelion.
Now its my turn to bribe you i think. If you ever finish this and get your friend to finish this fic i'm gonna make you a manip with him. You just gave me a wonderful idea ! 
My my. I cant believe it. This is gonna be the best Erestor pic on DA. Thank you for making him so beautiful! His face looks perfect. Generally i think all are ok XD

oh my, this is...fantastic, and i know how you feel about stuborn pics. maybe try....writing the scene out, the thoughts, the colors, every detail that pops into your head... that helps me, but everyone is different.

Hey, that's actually a rather good idea.. I'm not a very good writer, but it doesn't stop me from trying, every once in awhile. Usually I go backwards.. I start with a weird little sketch that acquires a story to explain it as I go. Backwards!

Precisely and precisely. My mother was showing my dA account to some of her friends not long ago.. o.@;; ... mercifully, she doesn't have a dA account, so the worst ones were visible. She's also wise enough not to pry. 'It's art, I understand,' she said, when I was like 'Mom, some of those are a bit, umm.. racy..'
