Description
I had big dreams.I saw 's Centauri Battleship and wanted to see what I could do with it in Kerkythea.
I got my answer: nothing.
At 13.4 million triangles, either the renderer itself or the fact that I only have 4 GB of RAM made it impossible to start a render of the complete model. I was at a loss, so in the end I decided to render some of the individual components themselves to see what I could get. These are basic renders with my standard single light source, and basic specularity and bump maps used.
Anyway, all modeling credit goes to Joachim Sverd. Thanks for giving me a shot at this. Maybe a smaller starship model will work out for me.

Nah, still using Kerkythea. I think I'm just getting better at it.

excellent man, i could never really get the hang of Kerky but V-ray works easily for me.

Looks like someone's bought/ been gifted vertibevel and has been having a lot of fun with it. 4GB or RAM shouldn't be an issue especially with lightwave, why not try some system optimization?

I'm using Kerkythea to render. Not sure what kind of limitations one gets with it, other than it runs out of resources trying to handle 13.4 million triangles. I ended up closing all my other programs to free up memory, but in the end, hey, Kerky was free and could import SketchUp models.
So it goes.

Looks good.
I know what you mean about the high poly models. I only have 2GB so I couldn't even come close to tackling that in Kerky!
