Description
The surface of the Earthlike moon of Aphrodite, orbiting the mesojovian Poseidon, orbiting the primary star Apollo in the 83 Leonis AB System, circa 818 of the Common Reckoning (~3890 AD). The three nations of the Ishterran Kingdom, the Venisterran Concordat, and the Sunkindlers have rebuilt their civilization after eight centuries from the collapse caused by the War of Ruin, and take their rightful place among the worlds of 83 Leonis AB. They face each other, the descendants of the spaceborne survivors of that war who remained off-world, and the giant AI controlled starship known as Candle in the Dark, which first transported their ancestors to the system a thousand years ago. Will history repeat itself, or can the people of Apollo find a new path?
