Recently I have been playing up and down Sonic Mania on the Nintendo Switch. I do really like the game! I am one guy of the party who thinks, that Sonic kept racing downhill after Sonic 3 on the Genesis. Most of his 3D titles were........ questionable. So Sonic Mania now was basically made by a group of heavy fans of Sonics classic games. Screw what Sega wanted to sell as Sonic 4, THIS HERE is the closest, that could ever have been an actual 4th installment. It is a great game, that absolutely gives you the feeling of those glory 16 bits days.

Anyway, not rambling about the game too much. Basically I do like those Sonic games, but Sonic as character is pretty much meaningless to me. I am totally into Tails, and that should not be a miracle to you. I was totally in joy about, how they recreated Tails' classic sprites and generated awesome new ones for him. And his new jogging animation pretty much inspired me to this picture here. Rendition of classic Tails, as he's also pretty short. My last Tails picture is already over 6 years old! Dude, I am not nearly creating as much art as I would like to.
Sonic Mania gave me a lot of fun. With it's presentation, music and appearance, this is like a classic party game to me. Just jumping in, having a good time and jumping out at any time again. Even though the game was released on pretty much every system and PC, it seems to be just made for the Switch, it perfectly fits the console, it's awesome to be played on the go.
Also the same that counts for the majority of Sonic titles, is that the music of this game is extraordinary. I kept listening to 2 specific tracks of the game through the entire creation of my picture here. I could give you a Youtube link to those tracks, but I got something better:

I made a ZIP file for you, which contains several files. This picture in high resolution, the 2 mentioned tracks from the game as high quality mp3, and also: an animated PC cursor file of Tails' jogging animation from the game. I use to generate and use my own cursors for the computer, and for a long time I have been sticking to using some of Tails's 2D animation sprites, usually for the loading cursor, as animated sprites are not good for pointing at stuff with the cursor.
