Description
Yo!Last year sometime I worked on some toy/figure designs for a group in HongKong. They wanted me to create a bunch of MC's in cool sorta style. That is MC as in Master of Ceremonies AKA the Mic Controller...
Over the next few days I'll post up these designs, so keep checking in.
My pencils along with the beautiful finishes by my buddy:
Feel free to speculate who these designs are based upon, but I shall neither confirm nor deny these rumours!

I thought MC was microphone checker... also this has got to be Pac, yellow is Biggie, green is Jay-Z or maybe Nas back in the day, blue is slim

hahah, yeah you can pretty much call it exactly if you know anything at all about hip hop! right on tho man, when i saw this even before i read the description i said to myself, vinyl figure design for sure!

yeah...I only wish they had gotten a really good vinyl sculptor to actually make these like they look in the design. I think they would make for pretty sick figurines.

in other news, man i just picked up Afro Samurai while i was out, it's amazing. so i'm rotating between The Office and Afro Samurai. pretty vastly different, lol. but enjoyable nonetheless. what you watching these days?

Havn't seen any Afro Samurai besides the toy ads inb the comics. Looks like something I would dig though.
As for what I'm watching...not a lot to be honest, although I just got my hands on the first season of heroes, and also seasons 1 and 2 of Carnivale....Havn't watched either yet though. I finished watching all of Extras again...the Ian McKeller episode is too dam funny, as are so many others. Also watched all the episodes of Entourage available on DVD, and that show is pretty adictive. You seen it? Jeremy Piven is great in that one.

i might have to check into Entourage. i've seen it all over of course, in the stores and on commercials, i don't know, somehow it just never interested me. i've heard of Carnivale, but not much other than heard of it. let me know if you like it. i really liked Heroes, i'm definitely picking that up whenever it comes out on DVD.
but man, Afro Samurai is off the chain! it's kind of... Ninja Scroll/ Samurai Champloo meets the hood. it's real entertaining.

you'll love it man. the animation is smooth as silk, so stylish. pretty friggin violent but hey, that's why you have cartoons i guess. lol. i'll try to get my hands on entourage this week!

haha...well, all changes from the pencils to the colours were requested by the client. I think they wanted to make them slightly more kid-friendly...and I have no idea what you mean by the Pac fellow...
