Description Since many people asked me how I edit my traditionally made drawings in Photoshop, I made this tutorial today to explain everything as clearly as I can. I know that scanners often ruin the colors and that's very frustrating. I hope my tips will help you with that problem.

There are some screenshots where it's hard to find any differences between them but it's just because of the picture I chose for this tutorial (my scanned image is actually very bright and clean).

If any problems, don't hesitate to ask me :]. I used Adobe Photoshop CS3 for this tutorial but I think other versions should allow you to do the same as me.

Well, I prefer showing people different options to give them the opportunity to find their own way of editing scans.
I noticed that step-by-step tutorials often make people blindly follow each step one after another instead of adjusting methods and techniques to their personal preferences.

Oooh I have yet to try the import option in Photoshop. But then again, my computer is not plugged into the scanner.

What version of Photoshop do you have? Or maybe it's because I use a different scanner than you?

The white of the paper always looks brown after I scan it on the computer.

I'd be interested in seeing a tutorial about the drawings you do that are part-copic, part-photoshop. Like the Madam Peacock one. I'm curious about the steps you take after it's scanned.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Red-Priest-Usada In reply to Kikubi [2011-05-06 15:40:06 +0000 UTC]

I'm going to make a tutorial about adding textures to the picture and using masks in Photoshop because that's the way I decorate copic drawings with digital stuff :].
