Description Since many people asked me how I edit my traditionally made drawings in Photoshop, I made this tutorial today to explain everything as clearly as I can. I know that scanners often ruin the colors and that's very frustrating. I hope my tips will help you with that problem.

There are some screenshots where it's hard to find any differences between them but it's just because of the picture I chose for this tutorial (my scanned image is actually very bright and clean).

If any problems, don't hesitate to ask me :]. I used Adobe Photoshop CS3 for this tutorial but I think other versions should allow you to do the same as me.

Części z tego co pokazałaś już używam(poziomy, jasność/kontrast, krzywe), ale nie wiedziałam o Gaussie... muszę wypróbować, bo ładnie wygląda.

Red-Priest-Usada In reply to memoire-blanche [2011-05-06 20:08:22 +0000 UTC]

Pozdrawiam serdecznie

An important point you should add is clean the scanner before you use it since the damned thing always seems have a bit of dirt in it.

ajmadee In reply to ??? [2011-05-06 07:42:09 +0000 UTC]

ooh! the Gausian blur trick! love that one.

I've been using that to edit my AP Studio Art photoshots.

The filling the layer also looks like another good trick. I use the Photo Filter in adjustments for the same effects

>.> had no clue that you could scan directly into photoshop though. :3 it's so cool to see all the different ways artists do stuff though.. yeah.

I was sure that Importing a scan into Photoshop was a common step XD''.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ajmadee In reply to Red-Priest-Usada [2011-05-06 22:45:23 +0000 UTC]

I usually scanned it through my scanner's special gizmo programs and then opened it up in Photoshop 7. Ah, if only I had known there was a quicker way haha <.<

not as step-by-step as i had expected but very well done.
lots of room to experiment in...
