Description
As I promised, here is my second tutorial. This time I'd like to explain the way I clean my pencil linearts. When they are finished I print them on the sheet of paper and start colouring them traditionally with my markers.
By the way, since some of you asked, I'm going to make a copic tutorial next :].
Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm very happy that my previous tutorial was helpful.

It's simple. You have to duplicate a layer with your lineart to create two identical layers. Change the layer's mode into Multiply and the white areas will get transparent. Next, create separate layers UNDER that duplicated layer and start coloring.
Maybe my tutorial will explain it better [link]
Good luck :]

Thank you so much I found really helpfull. I still don't understand how you can color, I understand the color goes in a different layer , ok. now how do you do so you won't paint after the lines? You just use mask or just add the lineart on the top of everything separating each color in different layers?? Stupid question but I'm trying to learn about it! Tks a lot and congrats for the tutorialS

Red-Priest-Usada In reply to hend7179 [2010-08-02 14:05:08 +0000 UTC]
[link] Here's a tutorial about coloring ^^. When I have a clean pencil sketch I open it in photoshop, I make a double layer and change this layer's mode into multiply. Then I create separate layers for colouring UNDER the COPY layer of my lineart. When the pencil sketch is set into multiply mode the white areas become transparent so you can put colours without interfering with the black lines.
I'm not sure if I explained it clearly so if any problems don't hesistate to ask me. I will try to help you : }.
