Sorry, I have Paint Shop Pro 7 and I have difficulties in some parts to make drawings. The Paint Shop Pro 7 has some equity in the Paint Shop Pro 9?
Sorry for the inconvenience.

This is Silence on her newest account. ;D

As far as I know, PSP7 and PSP9 both have the same features, they just might be in different places or have different controls. They both do the same thing and PSP7 is just as good as 9 is. : D

Rigth, but I need some.. hep's.. (or tips)
for exemple, When I scan my drawings, I put in PSP7 step and then when the design for "Threshold" I paint the design, but then left a few white boxes in the drawing and then I have to paint each boxes. How do I paint the design of an easier way? (Portugueses.. are donkeys in english..sorry )

Could you please take a screenshot of the problem and upload it for me? That way I can see what's going on and hopefully help you fix it. : D

And don't worry, your english is very good, just keep at it and soon you'll have it down perfectly. ;D

Incredibly useful. I can't believe I've had PSP9 all this time and never realized how awesome the pen tool can be if you think of making the background color transparency.
Awesome I don't hate lineart nearly as much as I used to, now!

instead of paint the background white you can just delete the background and make the vector into a layer.. then you don't have to go trough all that trouble painting it ^^
( btw if you're doing that make sure you save it as another picture as your sketch. otherwise you sketch will be gone xD)
though still a helping toturial

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilenceBelle In reply to xXfeliceXx [2008-05-01 21:30:47 +0000 UTC]

I paint the bg because I use that layer to color or to make a bg for my picture and I like it white. xD;;

And I always save over my sketches (habit) because I keep all of my sketches for later use. xD;;

But thanks for the tips.

This tutorial works wonders!!
Now I don't find the pen tool utterly useless, haha (but really, the Corel's offical "how-to-do" books only confused me more on how to work with it).

But yeah so I did my first outlining on some tattoo designs [link]

Again, great job on the tutorial.

And very nice tatoos!

Kaji-ken-Koori In reply to SilenceBelle [2007-11-21 16:53:09 +0000 UTC]

[link] - I looked at another tut and it was about corel, and it showed me how to do kinda' smooth lines, and this is the best I can do. ( I don't use a tablet ). And what happens is I set my foreground colour to transparent and black and my background pen colour to black. I then draw a big block and re-draw over it how thick and thin I want the line to be. Complicated eh?

overlord-rodrod [2007-10-25 13:22:39 +0000 UTC]

This should help so much, but I use PSP7, not PSP9(Not yet, at least.).

I feel retarded looking at PS tutorials when I use a whole different program.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SilenceBelle In reply to overlord-rodrod [2007-10-25 18:26:20 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty sure alot of the features are the same, maybe just with different names and in different places. It's one of the reasons I like PSP so much. xD That and it's cheap. <<;;

I just get really confused when I look at PS tutorials because PSP doesn't have alot of the same settings and rarely does the same thing. XD So I figured why not make a tutorial? There aren't alot of tutorial's out there for PSP. XD

But I'm extremely glad it helped you out; I'll be making a few more tutorials soon.

overlord-rodrod In reply to SilenceBelle [2007-10-25 18:54:37 +0000 UTC]

Yah, EVERYBODY else uses PhotoShop, and I've been happy with PSP7 for the longest time, it's just that I hadn't CGed in almost a year until today.

But, now I'm just so happy that I FINALLY know how to make decent lineart without having to spend two hours filling all the little gaps, or having to use pain-in-the-ass inking pens to just have to spend three times as long to go back and clean up the image later.

But I found the process almost entirely the same, it's so incredibly shocked how stress-free your lineart method is, and how good it looks at the end result~!

My ONLY scrap and my ONLY deviation were produced through your method of lineartage. And I feel so good for producing a half-decent piece after being out of it for eleven months.

SilenceBelle In reply to overlord-rodrod [2007-10-30 20:52:20 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. But it's not really my method. I had started to use the tool for a little while, but it never worked for me. I took a break then tried it again, this time with the help from a few tutorials which helped me fix the problem and perfect my little style.

I'm really glad it helped you!
