WARNING LARGE FILEThis is a tutorial for openCanvas, whom I wouldn't have without =Elianan . She's the bomb, and I mean seriously. Her farts STINK!
Kidding, kidding. She's a top girl, and her art is just amazing, go check her out!
...The publicity is a way of saying thanks. Thanks for the coding for the program, which some of the artworks I'll be submitting over the next few hours/days/weeks,... Hereonin, wouldn't otherwise be possible.
See, how this came about is I text (messaged) Nat asking her if she knew how to install brushes, and she said no. Well, I thought. If NAT doesn't, nobody could, so I decided to make her a tut. Also to give her back something.
...Seriously, people. Go check out her art. She draws manga, but she's GOOD at it--- and coming from someone who doesn't like manga it's.... WTF U STILL READING FOR?! GO!!!! >_<

However, I have a problem. Once I get to the Pen-Nib area, there is no 'Import' 'Convert' or 'Remove' Box.

Hey, great tutorial, I wasn't even aware you could make brushes in the PS sense with OC.
But...seems I'm having a problem. Whenever I download a set of images they're all png files. I can use them, but they all end up being black boxes instead of actual brushes....how do I fix this? I really want to be able to use them....

Good god, I've finally found something to help me with brushes. I can't tell you how many people I've asked about adding brushes, and they're like, "What's OpenCanvas?" Thank you for making this!

alrite well for one its exactly the same as photoshop just withoutr burn, dodge and smudge, and i use SAI for my lineart becuase you can get your lines down to 0.5 and it runs very smoothly 8D im going to use it instead of open canvas now lol

I use all burn, dodge and smudge (welll not smudge as much) --for your linearting, that sounds great, but can you copy and paste to OC the actual lineart and it's still only the lineart? Just check it out... With one line, if you know what I mean.
Also, whilst we're goin on about oC, does your version always say *invalid data* or something, and it forces it to shut down? Mine does, it's reelly annoying I lost a fair bit of work

That only happens in the never version of open canvas plus i think, i hate it so much D8; i use the version one update older and it doesnt do that
and you can save the file as a psd and import into oC or ps and continue editing and cou can cut copy rotate n all ^^

I just finished downloading SAI (south australia.... internet) but I don't think I'd be able to use it properly until tomorrow. Yeno. Tablet's at school >_<
