its odd, i read all the comments, and none of them come near what i felt looking at this. but i cant really express properly what that is, i dont think. the look on the childs face just cuts. it just cuts through. i keep looking to try and see a story, but it doesnt need it. knowing when and where and all that would probably change it too much. i think its amazing though. no fear indeed.

when i look at this picture, and reading the title, i see a father trying to tell his daughter that it's easy to swim, so go into the pool and waddle and this and that and his child just thinks to herself, 'yeah yeah, whatever' hehe. lovely contrast in this piece. the black background and the black framing cuts the world out completely, leaving the father and daughter in their own world. and of course, the expressions are very beautifully captured.

wow; what a neat portrait. I love the lighting especially; I think it's time for me to start taking photos with that sort of light source. I love intimate photos of relatively average people, and I really love photos of dads with their kids (if that's the relationship going on here).

that guys almost as scarry lookin as me LOL!, that is a brave lil one, likes like kids thinkin paaleasse is that all you got. as usual an excellent photo...love pics with kids...specially the lil ones, stirs many happy memories and warm feelings.

this is an amazing pic. There's something about it that I really like - a certain emotion/feeling seems to be portrayed, and I feel like I can understand what the child is feeling/thinking. Very cool. Awesome contrast, gotta love the b&w, like lobsterclaws said. This picture makes me think and wonder.
