Would be an interesting project though
Each suit could be a different species (ie: deer, cat, wolf, bird) With the Jack, queen, king being armored, and the joker cards being goofy characters...
Your art is just so amazing!!!

are these drawings done on the computer. if so how did you get to print them so neatly( excluding the iphone quality)

RedbuzzarddArt In reply to skyangelwolf [2013-03-22 07:39:09 +0000 UTC]
yes, you need to keep in mind when you are going to create artwork, to make a file in photoshop (or other art program) it to have 300 dpi resolution. 300 dpi is for printing while 72 dpi is for screen display. Even when you are scanning you are drawing, make sure the scanning dpi is on 300. And you should also draw on big size canvas. this all garantuees good quality printing!

It is truly a great feeling. Sadly, i've only seen 4 prints out of 3 years worth of commissioning of my art. -sigh- Maybe, one day, i'll get more than just graceful words. :/
I love your art. It is magnificent. This blurry picture is wonderful, because it contains your creations.

Why not print it yourself ? I also never seen my commission work printed. the stuff here is mainly personal art XD I paid like 5 dollars for all these prints at a local shop :U

I have only printed one piece, and it didn't stay with me for more than 3 days! Ahaha
Well, that is a fine idea, i should do that.
I need to visit your local shop. x))

well I dont like it that much. Its not the same as doing illustration work. but you get to design stuff like logos and posters for companies etc. i think you should check for open days at local schools who do graphic design.

These look so great. Where did you print them and how do you know it will come out exactly how it looks in your computer? When I print my digital painting they come out usually darker and in my laptop they look so much lighter so I stress out a lot when I do my digital paintings for print out.

RedbuzzarddArt In reply to Dauntless-Gothika [2013-03-22 07:46:47 +0000 UTC]
I printed them at a local shop who does print your own photos, in my case I just printed my artwork. However, not all the artwork were correct in colour. Example is the saber-tiger-dragon and the running red lioness were quite off in colour. The local shop I printed from has an own website with their digital system so you can crop and move like how you want.
One way to garantuee good quality is to make sure your artwork/canvas has a 300 dpi resolution (printing resolution), and if you are going to print them at a proffessional printing company, make sure to read their printing specifications are. For my business cards I had to save them as PDF file for example. Usually prints look darker on paper because your screen colours and contrast aren't always the same as what you see on paper : < common issue.

Thank you very much for your response. Yes, my biggest issue is that my artwork usually comes out much darker than it looks on the computer so I have to print it out many times until I get the desired results. I print it 300 dpi resolution and print it in Wal-Mart since the prices are good and the quality seems good as well and so is the website they have check them out. The problem seems to be my laptopβs brightness which is way different from what the final product is suppose to look. May I ask what is the name of the local shop you print them? Thank you once again for your response and your help
