Description
This tutorial will walk you through how to use Paths in Photoshop. It explains the general workings of paths, as well as how to use them to do specific tasks. How to create vector shapes using paths, how to replicate and resize something as large as you'd like, how to use a brush along a path and have it fade out or get smaller as it goes, etc. The uses of paths in Photoshop are limitless!I'm currently using this process to enlarge all of my old TINY tribal brushes to about 2000 pixels without ANY loss of quality. Quite handy

I knew most of what you explained but you gave me the last links to tie them all together XD
Though I do love the brush thing you explained in the end though it only makes an X long line.
Great tutorial. Greatly needed :3

Not sure what you mean by it only makes an X long line... are you using the free transform tool to draw it? Thanks, glad you liked it

Have to try this soon.
Never really worked with paths in photoshop. Have always used vector programms and still miss Freehand. I'm not used to Illustrator
Thanks for the tut

I need to try my hand at Illustrator one of these days and see what I think of it for vector stuff. But for now, this is working well for me

Yep. Most of my later brush sets are like 1000 pixels or so, which I figure is pretty big (although some are closer to 2000 pixels now)... but my earlier sets were pretty tiny!

Yeah, I noticed that they were! I love big brushes! Looking forward to the larger sets.

You are super awsome. I can't get the hang of all that pen tool stuff. Just seems to be too much hassle for me. But there's alot of little tips in there that I might be able to put to use somewhere and maybe one day I'll actually start using the paths. I'm sure this is going to help alot of people. Imma fav it cause it's good, and just in case I ever do need it, I will know right where it is.
