Making Knots with Inkscape. This is the most efficient and expedient method I have found so far for making knotwork in Inkscape (Or vector art programs in general)

Oh. That's just because you're using a different color scheme and theme for windows. Inkscape itself is the same.

It is fairly easy. Though it does usually take a few tries to get one that looks good.

Cryo, may I ask you a Knotwork ? I'm a wikipedia cartographer, and I'm interested to produce something like this Lord of the Rings-like map. I wonder if you may share, or create a similar background and windrose, in SVG and CC-by-sa license. So we cartographers may use them for some of our wikimap

True, the construction process is quite easy, but making a knot that looks 'good' is something else entirely.
