I'm exited for what you're gonna make. No worries, I went to digital at the start of this year.
I have to say, traditional or digital, they both have their pros and cons.

Aww, I'm so sorry for that.
Every program has a diferent settings and sometimes even names of tools. I made this tutorial to use for mainly Photoshop and Paint Tool SAI. However, they are both payed. I would say it could work with GIMP. It's a free alternative to PS, but I also didn't test this method in it, so it's not guaranteed it will work.Β

I never had a different kind of Photoshop than CC, so personally, I can't really help. But this might:
