Blegh, this one was quite difficult to crack, but I think I got there and I'm happy with the result. Smashed out the colouring entirely in a couple of hours, but designing Arcanine and finding a suitable pose took much longer.Hope you like it. Also, why does Reddit have only self post Mondays? Ugh.

Will you do any Alola forms? it might be tricky blending this design with a water mammal though...

Probably not as I barely have time to do normal forms nowadays. I am a marine ecologist by profession so I probably would be able to find some marine mammalian inspiration for Arcanine (although I don't think it's water form has been confirmed yet). Will be exciting to see who else gets Alola forms!

The face is mostly canid, with ears of a deer and the mane of a lion + wolf. The body is both wolf and tiger infused, with the legs and paws being more tiger like and the tail more wolf like.Β

Arcanine is based on Fu dogs , which are inspired by a mix of animals. I find that Arcanine has a mix of feline and canine aspects and wanted to incorporate that into my design.Β
