I got the inspiration for this artwork from the haiku "Night terrors" by Christopher

vertigo's nausea flares at the revelation:
i am immobile; the world shifts around me.
i am some omni-impotent axis mundi; a world
tree with roots depending from the serpent's
fetid corpse and with bared branches no longer
able to support the heaven's yawning maw.
basho erred;
the clouds move the wind.
hear their dirge.

I came here from haibun which I thought was excellent, but it was your picture which first caught my eye. I thing it is dramatic and beautiful. I love the style of the figure-drawing. What excellent colour choices too.

It's getting to be that time of year when we can safely tell the coyote stories without the worry of his foolishness coming to roost in our own lives. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw Mr. Furry Grandfather standing there singing.

Grandfather Coyote... Little Wolf.... The Trickster... The Fool. To some the coyote and the wolf were interchangeable. But I know that wolves are smarter than coyotes by an order of magnitude. Probably smarter than most people. lol.

you created just the same thing I saw a few days before...you are a magician!...I impressed not only the reflection of the real world but also the substories around the tree..A wolf cries something and a kind of bib bird drops an egg to the branches of the tree and finally a human is creating by a lily...
Do you feel that you are just a weak human at the lap of the wilderness...

I think this my personal fav among all your work so far. It looks very polished, and concept seems to be thoroughly thought out. I love the detailing as well, especially the guy on the right. All in all, this is the kind of piece which leaves me wishing that it was a small part of a much larger work. It would be so much fun to search for little details and see what their "reflections" looked like on the other side.
