Thank you very much
Do you mean the radio and Pip Boy? I haven't actually uploaded them to anywhere yet. If you are interested I could probably upload them to Share CG?

Yes, I would really appreciate it. I have a ShareCG username and have used items from the forum in many of my renders.
I've been looking for props that could pass as Fallout items for the past several weeks, since starting with my current batch of Fallout-themed Poser projects.
My prop-making skills in Poser are still very basic. I can craft simple items, but nothing that approaches what you have created.

When I get a chance I will upload them and let you know.
I made this a while back too if you are interested in seeing it [link]
I hope one day to release this scene as a paid for product.

Thanks. A question: is the jacket your creation or did you get it from another Poser artist?

This is amazing! Can you share your DOF settings or your SSS settings? Was this done with your ID Light product? Very tempted to buy it

Thank you Yes this was rendered with ID-Light.
The DOF was pretty basic.. I just used the "Focus distnace" dial to set the focal point on the girl. Then I think I left everything at the default.
Just checking- fstop was 6.000, hither was 9.600, yon 10320, focal 75mm.
The SSS was also just a quick shader I made by adding the SSS skin node. I have a new character out that uses a better SSS shader: [link]
Hope that all helps.. let me know

Nice work. I doubt I'll ever be advanced enough to need tools like you used... we'll see.

It does look tempting. I think the software is a bit out of My price range though.

You can get Daz Studio for Free.. its similiar to Poser and uses the same models.. it just renders differently.

That Pip-boy looks different from the 3000A model. Maybe a newer lighter model?

"This rendered in around 10mins with IDL, SSS and DOF"
Ok, I know what Sub-Surface Scattering is, I know what Depth of Field is...
But what on earth is IDL?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RetroDevil In reply to xQUATROx [2011-10-14 13:58:19 +0000 UTC]
IDL is InDirect Lighting. Basically it simulates light more realistically and has the ability to calculate light bounce. (like real life)
Usually the set up include an environment or IDL sphere which produces the ambient light and gives a closed space for the light to bounce around in.

I just needed the definition for "IDL", that's all. It's the first time I see "IDL". Usually the term is IBL - Image-Based Lighting (hence your spherical environment) or GI - Global Illumination (light bouncing).
(I work with 3D, so...)
