Description
My homage to DC's Silver Age of Sci-Fi comics, a little something I started way back in March. Did a sketch of Adam Strange's girlfriend, Alanna, posted it, and planned on a colored version. Well, this past week I finally got around to finishing it. Yeah, I guess the sword is odd, but I wanted to give her a "Swashbuckler" feel. Trying something new with my style on this one. Experimenting with a "vector" look to it. Hope you dig it! Pencil drawing colored in Photoshop. Here's a link to the original sketch:

Wow nice vector work! Pretty sweet! Since you're my coach and all Patrick Crayton or Chris Henry, which one would you keep playing?

Of course your play Crayton, with the much better matchup. But you sat him last night! Overall, Henry has a more favorable playoff schedule, but there's Chad and T.J., and Romo's having a better season than Palmer. Plus, the Bengals will have nothing to play for after this week. And, I guess, thanks for the non-vote.

The non-vote will be in your favor this week. I forgot to switch him in my line up, I feel bad.
So...Crayton it is, he is their no.2 WR. It's tough, the Bengals have an easier schedule for weeks 14-16. It's tempting to start Henry, but he is the no.3 WR. Thanks!

And grettings from California! Thanks, and to answer your question, basically you would "paint" your piece in a vector program, like Flash, using a pen tool to create shapes with color, to color your drawing. Kind of like each color is a puzzle piece. For example, in Alanna, I'd create the shape for her hair in blue, then on top of that, create a shape in dark blue for the hair's shadow. Then create a shape in light blue for the highlight. Whew! Hope that clears it up!

Oh, and the final result is a very graphic piece, without the hard "inked" outline.

yeah, thatΒ΄s pretty neat! but why donΒ΄t you use a vector-program for this?

I really should, but it's been years since I used Flash, and I've only used Illustrator for lettering. I guess the bottom line is, I can be lazy at times. Hopefully I can kick myself in the ass and try it.

flash is ok(ok, while i never used it for such) and illustrator is my favourite.
