Alright, time for the next picture, albeit quite humorous, at least to me, of my Hanson Theme Challenge. I'm drawing pictures based on Hanson songs, and I command you to do the same...only, it can be whatever band you choose

The song this time is called "Running Man" It is the first track on their new album "The Walk" to feature Zac singing the lead, (and boy does he get plenty of lead time on this album ) I loved this song from the beginning, and once you read the lyrics you'll better understand where I got the amazing idea for this picture.

Just want to point out, between that second chorus and the repeat of it there's a musical bridge verse inbetween it. That last chunk of "It's too bad for the running man...too bad..." that fades out with the end of the song. It's one of those upbeat, feel good songs. I just love it ^^

Anyway, yesterday in the car I was listening to this song, and it hit me; it was almost as if Zac was trying to tell me this through the song. I'm like, "Well gee, what character do we know that is a runner and is always going here and there, leaving someone to languish, and someone else to pick up the pieces and seize his chance?"

I'm like, "Well DUH!!! You're a freakin' KnuxAmy fan! Why didn't this hit you before?"

...I don't hate SonAmy...I take pride in saying I don't hate any pairing you throw at me, even if it's in conflict with the ones I love. I may not support a pairing, but it's rare that you'll hear me say something bad about one. I only talk about what I don't like about a couple with people who are like-minded. That's respect, and it's something we could use more of.

However, being a KnuxAmy fan and seeing how well this song fit their situation, I couldn't resist. Sonic's always running away into the horizon, leaving Amy behind to languish and wonder why Sonic won't notice her. I figured hey, if Knuckles can leave the Master Emerald alone long enough to follow Sonic around in Sonic Heroes and in other games, he can take some time off to try and cheer Amy up right? Sure, sometimes there's friction between Knuckles and Amy, but Amy will raise her hammer to any guy who ticks her off, and you know it.

So here's Knuckles who's thinking, "Fine, let Sonic run away and have his adventures. If he keeps giving Amy the cold shoulder and breaking her heart, I'll just come right along, cheer her up, and help her forget about it." Come on now, be realistic, if Sonic doesn't cut it out eventually Amy's gonna get tired of it.

lol, anyway, that's how this picture came to be!

I messed up royally on Knuckles' eye, (I still have trouble drawing them when they face that direction.) Sonic in the background...he's supposed to be small and cartoony Don't ask me about his legs...I was going for how they look when he runs at high speed. The picture has its flaws, but it's not that bad.

And yes, the background is minimalistic to say the least. I wasn't trying to saturate the colors that much at all, and drew faint lines for the ground Sonic is running on and the hill Knuckles and Amy are standing on.

The wonderful lyrics and song are copyrighted to Hanson of course. Those boys cannot write a song I don't like ^^
