Description
Here's the paint job on the llama that I sculpted recently.Airbrush with acrylic ink and regular craft acrylic for detailing, over super sculpey firm. 8.5" tall.
Commission. Customer wanted to give a gift to her boyfriend who likes llamas and flutes, and this is what she and I decided to go with.
I had to take some liberties with llama anatomy (especially the neck and front legs), but I'm really happy with how it all turned out.
Unpainted sculpture is viewable here: [link]

A llama farted in my face when I was a kid... I try to avoid getting too close to them. But they are cute.... when you're looking at their face. lol

I'm so sorry... That must have been a smelly trauma. Llamas have that weird and violent personality (they kick, they spit, they fart) and despite that they are still cute xD

I don't mean to subtract from the sculpture, but a good photo can make or break a piece, that is some good lighting. And of course, the actual object is awesome too.

Thank you! I agree with you completely about the importance of good lighting and photography. I'm glad you feel that way about the photos of this piece, since I try to present my work in the best light.

Thanks! Yeah, you're not the first person to be reminded of a kangaroo--I think it's the pose, since this would be more natural for a 'roo than a llama. I'll probably sculpt a 'roo some day, though, since they're such neat looking animals. Glad you like it.

Thanks! Yeah, the subject is definitely odd. This was a commission, and the woman who commissioned it for her boyfriend told me that he liked llamas and the flute, so this seemed like the most logical direction to go.
It's made of super sculpey firm, and is 8.5" tall.
