Description
Here's the paint job on the llama that I sculpted recently.Airbrush with acrylic ink and regular craft acrylic for detailing, over super sculpey firm. 8.5" tall.
Commission. Customer wanted to give a gift to her boyfriend who likes llamas and flutes, and this is what she and I decided to go with.
I had to take some liberties with llama anatomy (especially the neck and front legs), but I'm really happy with how it all turned out.
Unpainted sculpture is viewable here: [link]

omg! this is amazing.. i mean.. it's a lama - playing a flute!! i mean that's so cool and makes this a work of art just like that, add that to the fact it's sculpted and with incredible detail..!

Reminds me of Beth Cavener Stichter's work, but delightfully different from her's in texture... I approve

This makes me wonder how you got the idea to make a llama playing the flute xD
Brilliant!

The woman who commissioned it for her boyfriend told me that he liked flutes and llamas, so this seemed like the most logical way of combining the two. Thank you!

..I really thought it was a kangaroo until I clicked the deviation and then was mildly disappointed. Oh well. It's still a very nifty piece of art and wonderfully detailed. Cheers to you!
