That comes from a long exposure. The shutter remained open for several seconds on this shot, which gives you the silky effect as the water rolls on by. Thanks for all the comments.

Truly Amazing! Could you tell me what sort of exposure time you used? and did you use any sort of darkening filter to make a really long exposure more possible? Thanks.

It was entirely too long, at 25 seconds. I think the only thing I had on my lens at the time was a polarizing filter. In addition, I had my ISO set to the lowest setting and my aperture stopped way down. Nothing too special. It was mostly the landscape that did the work.

Long exposures will naturally enhance colors like these, but seriously, the first time you see the lake at Havasu Falls, you're in disbelief.

Yep. Very crowded, with it being a weekend and all. But I managed to discover how to get on top of Navajo falls this time around and there were no signs of people having been there for a good while. Had the place all to myself.
