Conformation: Ideal build for her breed; Sea Nymph refines and improves on her dam's build with a perfect length back, dainty head, well structured legs and intelligent eye. Her gaits are even and balanced.
Temperament: Athletic and willing, with quick wit and a cheeky, tenacious side that runs through her sire's lines. She's a bit of a know-it-all, and is quite bold -- this filly is not one to back down from a challenge! While not to the same extent as her sire, she is still a handful -- prone to stealing your gloves, her halter, or anything else within reach. She has a good mind and shows a lot of potential.
Handling: Sea Nymph is generally good with handling; her only minor vice is a disdain for the farrier. ARS is exposing her to plenty of hoof-handling and visits with their local farrier, to help her develop some comfort with the procedures.
Other: She travels with her companion, and they share a stall. Her Nigerian dwarf goat friend is a wether (gelded) who is an easy keeper and doesn’t get into much trouble himself. He goes by the loving name of Ferdinand (Ferdi for short) and enjoys eating any weeds growing in the pastures.
Favorite Treat: Mineral salt licks + fruit

History: Sea Nymph was produced by both Bailey Oaks and Sea Dragon Stables in the hopes and anticipation of creating a level minded foal with great ambition and drive, while keeping collected and willing. This young mare is full of potential with even and balanced gaits, a good mind, quick wit and just enough spice to keep you on your toes while raising this promising competitive partner.
She was purchased as a young foal by Ashe Rune Stables, and they plan to develop her into a fine eventer and competitor, with hopes that she will also retain her dam's good broodmare disposition and be their first mare in their upcoming breeding program once she's been shown. As her first event, ARS is entering her into the 2024 AusWBA Futurity, and they're very excited to see how she develops over the course of the next few years! She is currently being boarded at Sea Dragon Stables for the duration of the Futurity, and will be imported to Akantha to reside at ARS once she is 5 years old.
