Description

I find the orange/pink one at the left bottom corner very pretty. Great work. The blue rose one is also very pretty.

Very lovely! I'm curious how you manage to get the page to be so co-ordinated color wise? Do you pick a set amount of colors to work with, or just wing it? And as far as a flash set goes, how do you decide what designs to include as sheets in the set? I mean, I've worked on pages before, but my 'sets' never seem to go together you know.

Yea, i drew it traditional Japanese. The finger waves are fun to draw. And the way they draw koi's is a bit different too. The scales are different and colored one at a time instead of the whole koi light to dark. The fins were drawn more round rather than sharper. It was a more simplified look back then. I just try not to change it because it's an old art that has alot of tradition to it, so who would i be to try and change it. I try not to mess with traditional art too much, i'd rather leave it as is. It's old art and it's been here longer than i have.

i find myself always using the same color pencils. even if it's not the same one, it's the same shade. There's colors i stay away from too cuz they're no fun to use to me. As far as deciding what designs to draw, This set is just going to be of tattoos i notice myself doing alot, just my version of them all so they are that much funner. I'm trying to steer more towards custom work, so i guess if i'm going to doing flash, it would be nice if some of it once and a while is my own.
