Description
IMPORTANT: Use of the bootscreen requires software which modifies system files. Please read the documentation here carefully before proceeding. If you have Windows 7 and a widescreen display, you've probably noticed that the boot animation gets stretched to fit the screen. This one fixes that, and more. Please note that the image shown above is only a static screenshot; the actual bootscreen is fully animated.
+ correct aspect ratio for 16:9 and 16:10 displays

I too have been scratching my head a long time over this peculiar behaviour.
Strictly speaking, this bootscreen is not a fix; just a workaround. It starts with a 'squished' image, which gets stretched to the correct dimensions. But it works.
Cheers!
