Description

"Pwn’d, Mr. Mustang."

This was inspired by two things. The first being that Roy showed me a video of an FMA football game, during the course of which Vic “clothesline’d” one of Travis’s teammates. So naturally, I was inspired to draw someone falling on their ass.
And second, I’ve always loved that move Izumi pulls off while fighting Ed and Al where she sends them both spinning through the air in opposite directions. Even though I’m pretty sure it goes against the laws of physics... But who am I to judge? It looks cool.

So I thought, “You know, that whole ‘train the body to train the mind’ thing makes sense. I’ll bet a lot of alchemists believe in that principal and train by it. What would it have been like if Riza’s father was the same way?”

The result, of course, was this. Roy apparently has a lot to learn, and Erick, as we’ve affectionately dubbed him, is not amused. Riza’s enjoying herself, though...

It started as a quick little 20 minute sketch, so I wasn’t really aiming for perfection. And I was of course too lazy to attempt a background of any sort. Use your imaginations. =o
I’m rather happy with the way Erick turned out, though. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at him, and this was a very fun excuse for it. This guy is so badass.

Now you all know who turned Roy into the lean, mean, muscle-bound fighting machine he is today. ;o
