Description a Tetrahedron with an Octahedron nested inside, to show the edge mid-point & vertex relationship between these two Platonic Solids.

There are so many combinations of 2-3 4 or more Platonic Solids, Archimedian Solids et al, that I would be busy for quite a while making them all!

These are permanently attached with small dowel rods at each of the contact points. The Octahedron is stained in cherry wood and the tetrahedron is just clear coated. Turn it on any of it's 4 sides and it still looks just like this since it's exactly the same symmetry.

On my website I offer these in 9" or 12" but if someone wants it larger up to 30" just let me know.

Hi Gypsy
I built the inner piece and stained it separately, then installed it in the Tetrahedron

I really like how there is a different stain to highlight the middle one

Thanks so much A' I had made some earlier both the same color, I agree, making them different really sets them apart as two individuals. Like they compliment each other yet are still independent
