I have always been a huge Jim Henson Fan and grew up with the Muppets. I FEAR puppets....but I LOVE the Muppets...weird.Anyways, Sam the Eagle was always hilarious. He is surrounded by all the "questionable" Muppets like Crazy Harry and Lew Zealand.
I kind of wanted to do more with Sam on this one, like have him look a little more exaggerated and tweaked.

Yeah, but it's kind of hard to really see the muppets as actual puppets, isn't it? They're more of a living fabric thing than a puppet I would say...

I have the same affliction. I can't stand regular puppets, but the Muppets are just fine.

Maybe because it was the first attempt to make puppet shows for adults and not only as a childrens program.

That's probably because Muppets are so lively and full of personality, so we think of them as characters rather than some weird, awkwardly moving homunculi.
