That's right, Static's in the house! Originally an honor student in Dakota City's high school system, Virgil Ovid Hawkins was forced into a gang war he wanted no part of, until one night he left, but not before accidentally being exposed to a gas that granted him power over electricity and lightning. At the advice of his best friend, Richie, as well as inspired by Black Lightning, Virgil decided to take up being a superhero, and became Static.

This iteration of Static has an interesting history, he was taken in by Cyborg as his protege, and later joined the newest iteration of the Teen Titans.
