Hopefully if there is any confusion on how an OCT works, this will clear it up for you. Note that the killing/maiming rule is a #MOKO-OCT rule, and may not apply to all OCTs.

When in an OCT, do you draw the other person's character in your own style or their own?

Personally, when I was a competitor I drew my opponent's OC in my style. However, for an added challenge, you might consider drawing in the opponent's style. If you've very concerned about it, consider contacting the host for whatever OCT you're participating in.

Pretty good, guys! You might want to add that the death/abuse/maiming/mauling clause differs from OCT to OCT.

I can add it to the notes. This was designed for TBOS, which has that rule, but if people outside of TBOS are using it, we can certainly make that distinction.

They really don't. I can't count the number of time people of given me blank stares while trying to explain how writers can compete in a single elimination competition.

Yeah. I've only had one person ever actually understand my attempt to explain it, but he is a pretty sharp cookie. Everyone else...just cannot grasp the concept.
